Alive, safe, well.
Suturing at sea. Fish. Coconut. Round turns and two half hitches.
Just received sign out from the local doctor to transport 5 pregnant women to the main island by sea, setting sail tomorrow. Bringing lots of pitocin and a delivery tray.
Found a satellite dish here and uploading quickly.

Alive. Love my crew-mates and the ship is amazing.
Leaving port in 2 days. We’re the first sailing vessel of the 21st century to carry cargo or passengers. See you all in a month!
Safely arrived in Rarotonga and paying 10 dollars for an hour of Internet! There is a big giant satellite dish pulling down web traffic onto the island.
Working on this ship is hard as hell and i think everyone is loving it.
Ship’s clinic has been busy!
Will try to upload a few images next time I have access.

End of the Internet Road
I’m sitting in New Zealand, and very shortly will depart for the Cook Islands to meet the Picton Castle.
There is very poor internet access there and at the ports we’re accessing or so I’ve read.
So, this will be lights-out for photos for a bit but I should be able to post text from time to time.
Here’s to adventure. Go out and find some.

I am so in love with the Australian obsession with serious espresso.
That being said I’ve yet to properly order a cup of coffee here.

One of my favorite portraits ever. This lady was a great sport.
One of the very best pieces of advice received as a photographer:
“When everyone is taking the photo of the big famous thing that there are a thousand photos of already, turn around and see the photo you are missing.”
Here she is.
Everyone says: “I want to be a photographer!”
Nobody says: “I want to review and edit hundreds and hundreds of images for hours on end every day.”
